Job description

We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our team in Cape Town.

This is an initial 12-month hybrid contract - onsite 3 times a week.

Responsibilities
  1. Enhance team effectiveness and support self-organizing, self-managing teams to achieve their goals.
  2. Facilitate, teach, and coach team practices, implementing and supporting Agile values and principles.
  3. Coordinate with other teams in the program and facilitate team engagements for improved efficiency.
  4. Ensure stakeholder and team engagement for total alignment on work required.
  5. Remove impediments for the team and facilitate key events such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  6. Align with other teams at Scrum of Scrums to improve overall program delivery.
  7. Lead efforts in relentless improvement, building a high-performing team, and coaching in self-management.
  8. Facilitate preparation and readiness for ART events.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Foundational Agile certifications: Scrum Alliance CSM or Scrum.org PSM I.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
  • Professional facilitation skills and understanding of team metrics.
  • Ability to run and facilitate core Agile events and activities.
  • Stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
