Job summary

The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking a self-motivated Supply Chain Management professional to provide support and professional advice to SANBI’s Business Units on SCM policies, procedures and frameworks.

The role requires a national diploma (NQF6) with 4 years’ experience or a degree (NQF7) with 2 years’ experience in SCM; postgraduate qualification (NQF8) is advantageous. Travel and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualification requirements: NQF6 with 4 years’ experience or NQF7 with 2 years’ experience; NQF8 adds advantage.
• Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations is essential.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend procurement matters in line with SCM policies.
• Attend to end-to-end administration related to evaluation and awarding processes.
• Attend to briefing sessions.
• Provide professional service to suppliers and related stakeholders.
• Assist to improve governance, manage risk, and attend to compliance matters within the business unit.
