About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Science Laboratory Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality science education across our secondary school. This is a vital role within the Science Department, assisting teachers and students during practical lessons, preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Job Location: Doha, Qatar

Salary: Negotiable based on qualification and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
• Assist teachers during practical sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain and safely store scientific equipment, apparatus, and chemicals.
• Monitor inventory and ensure timely ordering of supplies and consumables.
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of lab equipment and facilities.
• Support with demonstrations and student experiments where required.
• Assist in organising and maintaining records related to lab safety and usage.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a diploma or degree in science (or related field) is preferred.
• Prior experience working in a school laboratory or similar setting is an advantage.
• Good understanding of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff.
• Reliable, proactive, and capable of managing time effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic school environment.
