St John’s College in Johannesburg is seeking a highly organized Senior Bus Driver / Transport Co-ordinator to join the Operations Department. The role involves safely operating College vehicles, coordinating driver rosters and routes, and supervising a team of drivers to ensure reliable transport for students, staff and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ bus/minibus experience, a clean driving record, and relevant qualifications.

Competenze

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Valid PDP – Passenger (P) category is essential.
• Code C1 driving licence or higher is essential.
• Certificate in transport, logistics or fleet management is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience driving buses/minibuses with a clean record.
• Experience in a supervisory/coordination role is preferred.

• Drive buses/vehicles for school runs, sports fixtures, tours and transport needs.
• Coordinate driver rosters and vehicle allocations.
• Plan and optimise routes for efficiency and safety.
• Supervise and mentor drivers, monitor performance.
• Ensure vehicle roadworthiness and manage service schedules.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain transport records (trip logs, driver hours, maintenance).
• Report incidents promptly to Head of Operations.
