Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) - School Nurse to join our progressive and supportive School Health & Wellbeing Service in Waltham Forest .

As part of an integrated 0-19 service, you will play a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme (5-19) , supporting children, young people, and their families to achieve positive health outcomes.

What you'll be doing :

  • Managing a caseload of schools as the named health professional.
  • Leading public health initiatives and supporting schools with medical needs.
  • Working collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency partners.
  • Supporting safeguarding processes and contributing to early help assessments.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff and students.
  • Leading on a clinical area and contributing to service development and audits.

What we're looking for :

  • Registered Nurse (RGN / RSCN) with SCPHN - School Nursing qualification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in delivering public health programmes and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
