Accountant Position - Maternity Cover Contract

Are you a qualified and passionate Accountant with a BCOM degree and available immediately?

Please apply and send us your CV as soon as possible! Our corporate client, a leading BPO and customer solutions provider, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Accountant for a maternity cover contract.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that all transactions relating to the scheme are recorded completely and accurately in the correct reporting period, and within the correct accounts in the general ledger.

Requirements:

• BCOM degree or national diploma in accounting or finance
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment
• Experience with advanced Excel functions
• Experience in the financial services sector is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Ensure scheme data accuracy, completeness, and correct reporting period before financial reporting
• Perform detailed pre-month-end and month-end checks
• Complete and analyze the premium collection file and scheme-specific reports before submission to Business Partners, adhering to deadlines and SLAs
• Handle statutory, ad hoc, and year-end reporting
• Ensure smooth integration of accounting processes into reporting and analysis data
