Requirements:

Qualifications / Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields.
  2. TOGAF certification (advantageous)

Experience & Skills:

  1. Minimum of 3 years in systems and solutions design, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  2. Strong experience in enterprise architecture, particularly within the relevant technology domains.
  3. Demonstrated capability in leading architectural governance and strategy in complex environments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation within the domain, including architectural artifacts, diagrams, and domain-specific documentation to facilitate stakeholder understanding and support strategic decisions.
  2. Collaborate with change management teams to ensure the smooth implementation of architectural changes within the domain, educating and guiding stakeholders on the benefits and rationale behind these decisions.
  3. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with standards within the domain. Additionally, you’ll tackle domain-specific architectural challenges by devising innovative and practical solutions.
  4. Define and maintain domain-specific architectural standards and strategies.
  5. Ensure that technology solutions comply with established EA principles and adhere to architectural standards.
  6. Engage with IT and business stakeholders to assimilate domain-specific needs and provide architectural solutions.
  7. Develop and oversee domain-specific architectural documentation and governance processes.
  8. Conduct reviews and assessments to uphold standards and compliance within the domain.
  9. Innovate and optimise solutions to meet domain challenges and enhance architectural effectiveness.
  10. Facilitate change management processes within the domain, ensuring stakeholders comprehend and adopt architectural changes.

Role overview:

As the EA Domain Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architectural strategies and decisions within specific technology domains, ensuring that these align seamlessly with the organization's overarching enterprise architecture principles. This position requires a deep understanding of various EA domains to provide strategic guidance, architectural leadership, and expert advice. You are responsible for developing and maintaining architectural standards and strategies across your designated domains such as applications, data, and infrastructure, ensuring these meet both business and IT requirements while aligning with long-term enterprise goals. Additionally, you will establish and enforce architectural governance processes within the domain to maintain compliance with architectural standards and principles, monitoring projects for adherence to domain-specific guidelines. Through engagement with business and IT stakeholders, you will translate their needs and challenges into actionable architectural plans that enhance operational effectiveness and support organizational objectives.
