Together Staffing group is seeking a technically strong SAS AML Developer to contribute to the development, integration and optimisation of an enterprise Anti-Money Laundering environment. The role combines advanced SAS/SQL development with AML domain knowledge to build scalable detection rules and data flows.

You will develop and tune AML scenarios, support ETL processes, and collaborate with Compliance and Business Analysts to translate regulatory requirements into robust technical designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial SAS development experience.
• Experience specifically within AML, financial crime or regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of AML, KYC and CDD concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain AML detection scenarios, rules and models within the SAS AML platform.
• Assist with scenario tuning and model optimisation to improve detection effectiveness.
• Build and support ETL processes that move data from source systems into the AML environment.
• Develop efficient SAS and SQL solutions for large-scale data processing.
• Investigate production incidents, data quality issues and application defects.
• Provide technical support and assist with performance optimisation.

• Convert conceptual business logic into detailed technical designs and working code.
• Participate in technical reviews and code-quality initiatives.
• Support application deployments and version control processes.

The successful candidate will combine advanced SAS and SQL development expertise with practical knowledge of AML and financial crime technology.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and maintain AML detection scenarios, rules and models within the SAS AML platform.
• Assist with scenario tuning and model optimisation to improve detection effectiveness.
• Build and support ETL processes that move data from source systems into the AML environment.
• Develop efficient SAS and SQL solutions for large-scale data processing.

Technical Expertise Required:

• Advanced SAS development experience, including:
  • Base SAS / DATA Step
  • SAS Macro Language
  • PROC SQL / SAS SQL
  • Standard SAS procedures
• Advanced SQL skills across relational database environments.
• Strong knowledge of complex queries, joins, subqueries and data transformations.
• Experience developing or optimising stored procedures, functions and triggers.
• Hands-on SAS AML experience.
• Knowledge of AML scenario and case management.
• Understanding of SAS AML data models.
• Experience with SAS Data Integration or equivalent ETL tools.
• Exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake or similar databases.
• Unix/Linux experience, including shell scripting.
• Familiarity with XML and JSON.
• Experience with source control such as GitHub is beneficial.

Experience & Qualifications:
