My client is currently searching for an experienced Supply Chain Functional Team Lead in the UAE. They offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with permanent residency available upon request.

The role involves leading the joint functional and technical team throughout all stages of SAP implementation, including mobilisation, design, build, testing, deployment, and post go-live support. The candidate will coordinate all work related to SAP supply chain processes, including functional and technical specifications, configuration, coding, testing, data migration, communication, training, UAT, cut-over, and post-go-live support. The role will be paired with a technical expert from the implementation service provider.

Requirements

• Lead and support the functional team through regular meetings, coaching, and conflict management.
• Plan and assign work within the team, defining scope, timelines, and responsibilities.
• Manage interactions with stakeholders, negotiating requirements and facilitating compromises.
• Provide leadership in design workshops, UAT, and training sessions.
• Drive sign-offs on requirements, designs, test plans, and training materials.
• Coordinate with the data purification team on data structures and conversion approaches.
• Report project status and manage risks and issues.
• Preferably have experience with SAP or other large ERP systems (Oracle, Ellipse, JD Edwards).
• Understand systems interfacing and the impact of user requirements on technical activities.
• Handle pressure, motivate the team, and be responsive to urgent needs.
• Maintain an accessible, flexible, and collaborative approach.
