Job description

This role will serve as a key liaison between operations, supply chain, and IT, providing expert-level SAP support and ensuring system efficiency, user adoption, and continuous improvement within the mining environment.Key Responsibilities : Act as the SAP subject matter expert (SME) across ECC, MM, WM, and VM modules.Provide frontline support to SAP users across mining sites, resolving issues and ensuring best practices are followed.Facilitate user training, guidance, and onboarding to improve system utilization and efficiency.Collaborate with business units to analyse processes and identify areas for SAP enhancement.Test, validate, and implement SAP updates, patches, and new configurations in line with operational requirements.Work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions.Participate in SAP-related projects, including rollouts, upgrades, and integration efforts.Document SAP processes, workflows, and training materials for end-users.

Minimum Requirements : Minimum 5 years experience as an SAP super user or functional specialist.Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and strong functional knowledge in MM, WM, and VM modules.Previous experience supporting SAP in a mining or heavy industrial environment.Strong understanding of inventory, procurement, warehouse, and vendor management processes.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and training capabilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work across departments and provide practical SAP solutions in high-pressure environments.

Advantageous : SAP certification in relevant modules.Knowledge of change management processes in a mining or large industrial operation.Experience with business process mapping and improvement.
