Job description

Purpose of the Job:

As SAP Procurement Specialist, your role will involve configuring supporting, optimising, and the enhancement of the SAP MM (Materials Management) and related procurement modules. You will be required to ensure that procurement processes are effectively digitised and aligned with business needs, including requisitioning, purchasing, vendor management, and inventory processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide daily functional support and troubleshooting for SAP MM/PUR (Materials Management / Purchasing).
• Resolve issues related to purchase orders, requisitions, vendor master data, pricing conditions, and goods receipt / invoice verification.
• Analyse current procurement business processes and propose improvements.
• Configure and maintain SAP MM module to support procurement activities (e.g., PR/PO workflows, release strategies, output types).
• Participate in procurement-related SAP projects including upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.
• Gather business requirements, write functional specifications, and work closely with ABAP developers for enhancements.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Providing training to end-users on SAP Procurement functionalities and best practices.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and customisations.
• Collaborate with procurement teams, finance, and end-users to understand requirements and provide SAP solutions.
• Create and maintain user manuals, process documentation, and training materials.
• Provide training to business users on SAP procurement processes and best practices.
• Develop functional and technical design specifications for customisations and enhancements.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scripts and perform functional testing execution after development completion.
• Support integration between SAP MM and other modules (FI, etc.) and external systems.
• Prepare blueprints for implementing projects.
• Develop or support procurement-related reports.
• Validate report requirements and changes in customising.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP ECC Certification (SAP MM).
• SAP S/4HANA Certification - Preferred (SAP Procurement).

Experience:

• +5 years’ experience in SAP MM or Procurement module.
• Experience working in the banking industry or consulting will be advantageous
• Proven experience in SAP procurement configuration and support.

Knowledge and understanding of:

• In-depth understanding of SAP modules that are used in the SAP ECC & S/4HANA
• General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology
• Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and third-party systems
