# SAP Data Migration Project ManagerJob Reference No.CR/030789Job Type: ContractLocation: Bryanston, South AfricaJob Reference No.: CR/030789**About the Opportunity**We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Project Manager to join a major global SAP S/4HANA RISE Transformation Programme. This role will be responsible for leading and governing data migration activities across the SAP ecosystem, ensuring successful delivery, data integrity, reconciliation, and business sign-off throughout the transformation journey. Working within a large-scale programme environment, you will act as the customer-side lead, partnering closely with vendor migration teams and business stakeholders to drive migration readiness, data quality, governance, and cutover execution. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong SAP migration expertise, stakeholder management skills, and experience delivering complex global ERP transformation programmes.**Key Responsibilities**• Lead and govern data migration activities across the SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.• Act as the customer-side migration lead, supporting vendor-led Core SAP S/4HANA migration delivery.• Ensure migration activities meet programme timelines, quality standards, governance requirements, and business expectations.• Develop and maintain migration strategies, object inventories, governance frameworks, wave plans, and integrated schedules.• Coordinate data profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, extraction, loading, and validation activities.• Manage end-to-end migration cycles including mock loads, dress rehearsals, cutover migrations, and post-go-live stabilization.• Establish reconciliation controls, acceptance criteria, defect management processes, and business sign-off procedures.• Drive data quality and cleansing initiatives in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, HR, and business stakeholders.• Coordinate migration activities across interconnected systems, including: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, GIMMAL, SharePoint• Partner with programme workstreams to align migration schedules with testing, training, validation, and deployment activities.• Provide executive-level reporting, risk management, and governance updates to programme leadership.**Required Experience**• 10+ years of project delivery experience within enterprise transformation programmes.• 5+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience, including end-to-end migration planning and execution.• Proven experience delivering SAP ERP or large-scale financial system migrations.• Experience managing complex global migration cycles across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.• Strong background in financial data reconciliation, governance, and business ownership models.• Experience working with enterprise migration toolsets and/or custom migration frameworks.• Track record of managing vendor-led delivery teams and third-party partners.**Required Knowledge**• SAP data migration methodologies and best practices.• SAP S/4HANA migration approaches.• SAP Data Migration Cockpit (highly desirable).• ERP master and transactional data structures, including: **Legal Entities, Company Codes, Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Sales** Organisations, Assets, Expenses, Financial Transactions• Understanding of key enterprise business processes, including: **Sales-to-Contract, Quote-to-Bill, Procure-to-Pay, Hire-to-Retire**• Data quality, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation methodologies.• Data governance, controls, and cutover planning principles.**Required Capabilities**• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent project planning and programme control capabilities.• Data governance and quality management expertise.• Risk management and issue escalation experience.• Executive stakeholder engagement and communication skills.• Ability to lead cross-functional global teams in complex transformation environments.**Qualifications**• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.**Ideal Candidate**You are an experienced SAP transformation professional who has successfully delivered large-scale ERP data migration programmes.
