SAP ABAP Developer

Reference:

Position: Contract until December (Gauteng based)

Experience: 8+ years' experience and SAP ABAP Certification

Responsibilities:

1. Development and maintenance on platform / application
2. Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
3. Preparation of system / technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
4. Ability and willingness to coach and give training to colleagues and users when required
5. Support system audits
6. Assist user departments in designing system requirements / proposal documentation based on business processes
7. Designing responsibilities in projects
8. Ensure all processes are investigated / considered to obtain user requirements
9. Review business requirements and propose/create system design, evaluate alternatives
10. Review and present proposed system design / solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System owner / Business owner for IFT
11. Design systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements (Template solution)
12. Support steps in the Designing Cycle: preparation of user and operation manual, creation of test cases, user training (Key users), system testing / parallel runs, system implementation, system checks / quality assurance, user sign-off

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Understanding of integration between systems using different technologies
• Requirements analyses, organization, and management
• Translating and simplifying technical requirements
• Provide input to document requirements in appropriate format
• Assist with identification and management of risk
• Knowledge of Unix and Connect-M Managed File Transfer

Specific Technical Skills:

• SAP ABAP knowledge in FI / CO, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Interfaces via SAP Partner System, IDocs, Web Services
• SAP Workflow in FI, MM, and SD
• SAP ABAP knowledge in Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Project Systems
• Additional responsibilities as per Agile Working Model (AWM) charter
