Job summary

Eqplus Pty Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a technically curious SAP ABAP Developer to join a complex technical environment supporting Finance systems and custom SAP applications.

You will contribute to ABAP development, debugging and troubleshooting while engaging with integration technologies and APIs. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to broaden skills beyond traditional SAP development in a modern tech stack.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong ABAP development, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in SAP application support and custom development
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability
• Understanding of SAP interfaces and integration
• Finance / SAP FI-CO exposure advantageous
• Exposure to APIs, JSON, XML, middleware or integration technologies advantageous
• Exposure to Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka or data integration advantageous
• Strong willingness to learn beyond traditional SAP development
• Engineering mindset and technical curiosity

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs for SAP FI-CO and custom SAP applications.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimize SAP ABAP solutions.
• Provide SAP application support and assist with integration to external systems.
• Contribute to modern integration projects using open-source technologies and middleware.
