Job description

Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer

We are seeking an Experienced SAP ABAP Developer with over 10 years of expertise in system design and development. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of SAP ABAP (Legacy and S/4HANA) and will be based in Gauteng for a reputable global company.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP ABAP applications, including FIORI, UI5, Smartforms, and Launchpad Designer in BTP.
• Work across legacy SAP systems and S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Participate in SAP RISE initiatives and understand the S/4 Data Model.
• Design data structures and APIs; configure SAP modules.
• Prepare development documentation and ensure interface & mapping accuracy.
• Manage SAP HANA environments and utilize Confluence for documentation.
• Handle interface maintenance, XML processing, and migration activities including planning and cutover strategies.
• Support SAP EHP upgrades and transport management.
• Configure SAP Materials Management (MM) including purchase organization, valuation areas, plants, storage locations, and warehouses.
• Prepare master data templates for materials, vendors, excise, info records, source lists, and purchase orders.
• Coordinate integration testing with other modules and understand interface processing such as IDOCs and RFCs.
• Develop cutover strategies for MM objects, and provide go-live and post-go-live support.
