About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sanitation Operations Manager to lead their cleaning and hygiene initiatives at their Centurion, Gauteng facilities. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing large-scale sanitation programs and ensuring compliance with stringent health and safety standards. You will be responsible for the overall direction and operational efficiency of the sanitation department, driving improvements in hygiene, waste management, and environmental sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a keen eye for detail, and a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the sanitation department, including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management. Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive sanitation policies, procedures, and programs. Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards. Manage budgets, procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, and inventory control. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations, maintenance, and quality control, to ensure seamless integration of sanitation practices. Investigate and resolve sanitation-related issues, complaints, and incidents efficiently. Lead and motivate the sanitation team to achieve departmental goals and maintain a high level of performance. Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in sanitation processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all team members are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary PPE.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the cleaning and sanitation sector. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective sanitation management systems. In-depth knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and best practices. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
