Job summary

Qualifications

  • Min 2-3 years experience in a clothing manufacturing environment.
  • Min 2-3 years experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Computer literate and able to operate various sewing machines.

Responsibilities

  • Create garment samples and manage a small team.
  • Responsible for garment construction and quality control.
  • Place orders for raw materials as necessary.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Create garment samples
  • Responsible for garment construction
  • Responsible for final presentation of garment criticals and perfect execution of sample garment criticals
  • Meeting with Pattern technologists and to discuss patterns and construction
  • Manage small team
  • Create sample packs
  • Pattern Reading
  • Communication to Design Centre Administration
  • Cutting, sewing and prepping fabric according to the requirements of each article
  • Place order when request on raw materials (e.g. threads, buttons, elastics, basis trims)
  • Assist with multi-skill the production operators (new product)
  • Denim capability upskilling
  • Quality control for specific lines/ garments/ orders
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Reporting
  • Investigating and implementing best practice related to Quality and Denim
Qualifications And Experience
  • Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Sample versatility
  • Able to operate a variety of sewing machines Min 2-3 yrs. experience in a clothing manufacturing environment o Min 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work on a wide range of sewing machines to complete different tasks
  • Must be able to sewing all types of top and bottoms, woven and knitted fabric
