A leading company is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to design and deliver innovative training programmes for its Commercial and Logistics teams across the Sub-Saharan Africa region. This role involves extensive travel, engaging with stakeholders, and implementing continuous improvement measures. Ideal candidates will hold a relevant degree and have substantial experience in training facilitation, particularly within a sales or commercial context.
Job Function
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development and delivery of high-quality, outcome-based training programmes tailored for the Commercial, Logistics and Ports & Terminals teams within the Sub- Saharan Africa (SSA) region. This job involves extensive research, design, development, customization, and delivery of training content to enhance the capabilities and performance of the teams. This job will require at least 60% travel across SSA sites.
Key Performance Areas
Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify training requirements specific to the Commercial and Logistics teams. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure training content is relevant and effective.
Programme Design and Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programmes, incorporating innovative methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes. Customize content to meet the unique needs of the SSA region.
Implementation and Delivery: Deliver training sessions using various formats, including in-person workshops, virtual classrooms, and e-learning platforms. Ensure training delivery is engaging, interactive, and impactful.
Learning Administration, Governance & Compliance:
Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously assess the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Make necessary adjustments to improve training quality and effectiveness.:
