Your role is to manage the team to deliver support sales growth in the organization while adhering to sales processes and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving significant growth and profitability within cost management parameters.
  • Managing the growth of active customer accounts to increase the client base through leads and customer-initiated work.
  • Providing sales support efficiencies to ensure client retention.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge on products, pricing, application procedures, processing, and timelines to meet product and service targets.
  • Monitoring and resolving complaints, including escalated issues, to improve service delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships to enable service achievement.
  • Ensuring team compliance with governance and compliance procedures, escalating risks as needed.
  • Tracking and influencing sales activities to improve team sales efficiency.
  • Providing accurate sales statistics, reports, and dashboards.
  • Assessing personal and team performance, seeking feedback, and pursuing training opportunities.
  • Ensuring team members are skilled and capable to meet service standards.

Ideal candidate qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 qualification
  • RE5 certification
  • FSCA recognized NQF 4/5 covering all product subcategories
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance Products such as Group Funeral
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Team Leader plus commercial experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proven track record of achieving targets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with high-profile clients
  • Clear credit record
  • Experience in Long Term and Short-Term Insurance: Personal Lines

Experience in our product subcategories and independent work:

  • Group Funeral (Tier 1 Simple)
  • Group Gap (Tier 1 Complex)
  • Key Person (Tier 1 Complex)
  • Group Primary Healthcare (Tier 1 Complex)
  • Business Credit Protection Plan (Tier 2 Simple)
