Team Lead - External Sales
Overall job purpose
The Team Lead: External Sales is responsible for actively pursuing sales growth (volume and value) and service delivery competitiveness by:
- Owning & Deliver on all performance targets for the allocated portfolio of External Sales activities (Full Team Accountability)
- Planning and coordinating general External Sales activities in the region and liaising with the central team to do this effectively – aligning with both regional and central team business objectives and insights.
- Identifying opportunities and represent on external sales engagements within assigned areas e.g. workplace banking groups, public forums, major events and festivals, etc.
- Actively building networks and relationships within the assigned area that supports lead generation, citizenship visibility across the region.
- Managing Team performance across other identified and potential External Sales markets as defined by the Physical Channels strategy.
- Together with the Regional Manager External Sales, responsible to monitor and manage individual team member performance and activities.
Key accountabilities
Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Support a well-integrated and aligned Sales, acquisition and retention program in order to focus on optimal value creation through the effective and efficient implementation and management of the Physical Channels External Sales strategy.
Business Growth and Financial Performance
- Together with the Regional Manager External Sales, Translate the Regional targets and agree individual annual and monthly targets with direct reports for business growth, penetration, products, value added and cross-sell products.
People Management & Development
- Ensure all colleagues have contracted Performance and Development Plans and that the related processes, conversations and timelines are implemented and embedded as required.
Education and experience required
- A Business related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification, recognized by the FSB for FAIS purposes, as a minimum qualification, RE5 Required
- Three (3) years (Technical/Managerial) experience
