Job description

Troubleshooting and liaising with key customers and stakeholders to enhance the overall customer experience and Qantas performance.

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the Johannesburg office.

Role Overview

As a Sales Support Adviser, you will be part of our UKEMEA sales team, supporting local sales teams and key trade partners with guidance, advice, and technical support. You will leverage strong communication skills to provide expertise on Qantas products, services, policies, and procedures, manage escalations, and resolve customer issues. Additionally, you will support the rollout of new commercial models, assist agents in transitioning to Qantas NDC, and act as a key adviser to travel agents and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer care/service
  • At least 3 years in airline sales support or a similar coordination role
  • Knowledge of agency sales and support processes
  • Fluent in English and either French or Italian
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of IATA GDS Fares and Ticketing (desirable)
  • Expertise in GDS workflows and applications (desirable)
  • Understanding of NDC
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce (desirable)
  • Ability to coordinate activities with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in agile and cross-functional teams
