Inside Sales Specialist

Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer in Midrand is looking to hire an experienced Inside Sales Specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Aftermarket Inside Sales Specialist shall be responsible for handling enquiries from an international client base for spare parts for standard and customised engineered products.

This person will be responsible for providing quotations for the required parts promptly to the client and following up proactively to secure the business for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Providing quotations with price, lead time, and payment terms for spare parts in an efficient and responsive manner.
  • Liaising with other internal departments such as Customer Service, Engineering, Production, Finance, as well as field sales personnel and suppliers, as necessary.
  • Following up quotations proactively to secure the business for the company.
  • Preparing spare parts lists for new capital equipment and pursuing and tracking the capture of this aftermarket business.
  • Weekly update of opportunities in the CRM tool.
  • Analyzing quotation success rate regularly and providing reports as necessary to management.
  • Utilising specialised technical/product knowledge to sell and promote products and/or services primarily by telephone.
  • Providing technical advice to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Preparing sales quotations and proposals for products, including price and delivery, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of Dairy/Food processing plant operation and maintenance, including sanitary equipment like PHE, Separator, Homogeniser, Mixer, Pumps, Valves.
  • Strong customer-centric attitude.
  • Responds and communicates professionally and calmly even under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Fluent in English & Afrikaans.
  • Capable of working in a busy internal sales office, handling inquiries for technical parts.
  • Ability to work with SAP 6.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
