Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Liquefied Petroleum Gas Valve Sales Specialist in Modderfontein, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering and strong technical sales skills to generate leads and support clients. Responsibilities include conducting presentations and product demos while achieving sales targets. Applicants with experience in safety-critical components are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in LPG equipment or valves.
  • Understanding relevant standards (e.g., EN, ISO, UL, ASME, API).
  • Experience working with safety-critical or pressure-related components is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads and grow existing accounts for LPG valves and related products.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for clients.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on valve selection and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and distributors.

Job description

Our client based in Modderfontein, Johannesburg is currently looking to employ an experienced Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Valve Sales Specialist to their team.

Requirements :

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Technical sales certification or training (desirable).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in LPG equipment or valves.
  • Understanding relevant standards (e.g., EN, ISO, UL, ASME, API).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proven track record in business development and territory management.
  • Experience working with safety-critical or pressure-related components is an advantage.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to :

  • Generate new leads and grow existing accounts for LPG valves and related products.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for clients.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the sales engineers on valve selection, compliance, and applications.
  • Understand and articulate industry codes, safety standards, and product certifications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, contractors, branches, and end users.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, tenders, and proposals.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Report on market trends and customer feedback to management.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings as required.
