Position: Sales Specialist

Reports to: Sales Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for selling products, systems, and services within a designated market or division, aligned with the division strategy.

Daily, you will meet qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

You will identify and develop new sales opportunities, showcasing your expertise.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For
  • Driving sales of products, systems, and services, focusing on volume, profitability, and new market opportunities while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Identifying customer needs, presenting ABB's offerings, and developing solutions that add value for both the customer and ABB.
  • Managing sales planning, proposal preparation, technical and financial offers, and administrative processes including cash collection and project coordination.
  • Executing marketing activities, communicating value propositions, and ensuring alignment with ABB's delivery, payment, and contractual terms.

Qualifications for the Role
  • National Diploma or University degree (preferably in engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or engineering-related fields demonstrating capability to achieve results
  • Experience in business development, with a track record of acquiring new customers and markets
  • Knowledge of the mining segment (CMM) and SSA market preferred
  • Market and product knowledge of LV and MV drive products is essential
  • Experience in selling electrical or mechanical products
  • Proficiency in computer skills
