Our Client is seeking a reliable and skilled Code 10 Driver to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various destinations in a safe and timely manner.

The Code 10 Driver should demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

REPORTS TO:

Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Driving: Operate and drive company vehicles, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations. Safely transport goods and materials to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
2. Delivery and Collection: Ensure the accurate and timely delivery or collection of goods as per schedule. Handle loading and unloading of materials with care to prevent damage.
3. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries or pickups. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour at all times.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues or defects promptly. Regularly inspect and maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle.
5. Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and submit on time. Keep records of trips, including fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance activities.
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while driving and handling materials. Participate in safety training programs as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid Code 10 driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a Code 10 Driver.
3. Knowledge of traffic laws, routes, and regulations.
4. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
7. Physical fitness for loading and unloading tasks.
8. High school diploma or equivalent.
9. Reside near or around Durban North.

Additional Requirements:

1. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
2. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
3. Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
4. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
