Job description

Job Description: The company wishes to employ a Sales Representative for Vascular Access, Critical Care and Airway division.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for sales in the entire KZN Region.

This position will be based in Durban reporting to the Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  2. Meeting sales goals and targets.
  3. Competent in sales presentations to customers.
  4. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  5. Enter all customer interactions and sales leads on CRM.
  6. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  7. Maintain customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  8. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  9. Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  10. Be prepared to work after hours and on weekends when necessary to do product training and/or attend to congresses.

Requirements:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Valid Driver's license and reliable transport
  3. South African Citizen
  4. A recognized course in sales and marketing will be an advantage
  5. Valid Matric Certificate
  6. At least 2 years' experience in sales, preferably in the medical industry
  7. Knowledge of the sales territory and relevant customer base would be an added advantage.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  9. Computer Literacy
  10. Ability to build relationships with customers
  11. Product knowledge
  12. Presentation skills
  13. Customer service, meeting sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting skills, negotiation skills, self-confidence, product knowledge, client relationships, motivation for sales
  14. Honest and reliable
  15. Proven track record with good references
