Sales Representative - Plumbing and Electrical Western Cape

Salesworx is proud to partner with the exclusive distributor of the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial laundry equipment. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join their team and drive equipment sales within the Western Cape region.

A technical understanding or ability is preferred. While this is not a technical role, the equipment sold requires a general understanding of plumbing and electrical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive all equipment sales within the assigned area.
• Respond to website inquiries and provide quotations for potential new business.
• Proactively prospect and develop new business opportunities.
• Identify customer needs and recommend the correct equipment solutions.
• Conduct pre-installation and post-installation site inspections.
• Prepare and present customized laundry layouts.
• Regularly visit key clients and potential new customers to build relationships and drive sales.
• Provide weekly activity updates and monthly quote reports to the Sales Manager.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using Salesforce (CRM).

Requirements:

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the equipment, industrial, or construction sectors.
• A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Previous experience in B2B sales and relationship management.
• Basic understanding of the products being sold, which may include heavy machinery, equipment, and related tools.
• Familiarity with the technical aspects of the equipment, such as plumbing, electrical, or mechanical knowledge, is often beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present products effectively and interact with clients.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for candidates who have a relevant tertiary qualification in sales, marketing, or a technical field.
• Basic Salary: R20,000 per month.
• Commission: 3% of sales done.
• Company car, petrol, cellphone & laptop provided.
• Incentive Bonus: Top salesperson earns an overseas trip or a cash bonus.
• The position is based in the Western Cape with minimal overnight travel.
• Our office is in Paarl, but the role offers a work-from-home option.
