Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Business Development

• Source new B2B leads and nurture long-term business relationships within the packaging equipment sector.

• Conduct cold calls, site visits, and client presentations across Johannesburg and surrounding regions.

• Identify client needs and offer tailored solutions that increase productivity and automation.

Sales Strategy Execution

• Collaborate with internal teams to strategize and implement effective sales campaigns.

• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, and sales reporting.

Technical Sales & Product Demonstrations

• Demonstrate packaging machinery features and technical specifications to clients.

• Offer after-sales support and technical consultations when needed.

• Attend trade shows and industry expos to promote product offerings.

Territory Management

• Efficiently manage assigned territory and schedule to maximize face-to-face engagements.

• Build and maintain a CRM database of prospects, active clients, and project pipelines.

• Provide clients with quotations, project proposals, and installation timelines.

Essential Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of B2B sales experience in packaging, industrial equipment, or manufacturing technology.

Industry Knowledge: Familiar with packaging lines, conveyor systems, filling machines, sealing, and labelling equipment.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and present complex machinery solutions.

Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals and manage objections effectively.

Travel: Valid Driver’s License and own reliable transport.

Software: Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM platforms, and quoting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or Mechatronics.

Sales certifications or short courses in industrial sales or technical marketing.

Existing client base in the Gauteng region is a huge advantage.
