Job description

Introduction

Seeking a seasoned Sales Representative within the mechanical seal industry.

Reporting to the regional manager, this is a sales-driven, sales-focused role.

Maintaining existing customers, driving sales growth, and increasing market share will be paramount to the success of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Achieve short, medium, and long-term sales and order objectives for the Richard Bay region to meet and exceed business targets.
  2. Establish and maintain contracts across the region for successful and profitable management.
  3. Build strategic alliances with end-users, cultivating long-term commitment and cooperation for mutual benefit and added value.
  4. Implement business development plans aligned with the company's strategic direction for the region.
  5. Liaise with technical departments to provide engineered solutions and advice to end users.
  6. Prospect for new accounts and establish new customer relationships.
  7. Conduct regular visits to end users to meet their needs.
  8. Support and supervise product installations when required.
Desired Experience & Qualifications

Education & Experience: Qualified to at least an engineering degree. Additional business qualifications would be advantageous. 5-10 years' experience in the mechanical seal industry with a proven track record in strategic selling within complex, technical, and commercial environments.

Key Competencies and Skills: Creative problem-solving, excellent planning and time-management, results-driven, independent yet team-oriented, customer service focus, technical knowledge of sealing products in sectors like oil, gas, and petrochemical, mental toughness, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook is required.
