The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Pursuing new Sales opportunities.
- Establish and manage strong relationships with Retail Customers.
- Managing point of purchase objectives and returns according to company policy.
- Managing sales and merchandising agents market coverage.
- Monitoring competition by getting current market place information on pricing, new products and merchandising techniques.
- Keep management informed by submitting weekly and monthly reports.
- Scheduling, Planning and Organising of daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers.
- Handling of customer complaints and liaising with complaints department.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Sales administration.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Must have a Grade 12 (matric).
- Must have 3 – 5 years sales experience in the FMCG sector.
- Experience in the Poultry Industry an advantage.
- Must be able to work in a high-pressured environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationship.
- Must be punctual and able to work overtime inclusive of public holidays, if and when required.
- Self-motivated and should have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently - a key requirement.
- Must have a reliable vehicle with a valid code 8 driver’s license.
- Participate in cross-pollination of duties within the sales department.
- Must be computer literate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
