Sales Representative - Building Materials

Our client, a manufacturer of building material and supplier to the retail and construction industry, is requiring a Sales Rep to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain existing customer base and increase customer base monthly.
2. Achieve monthly Sales and Listings targets.
3. Grow customer base by identifying new customers as well as new areas to penetrate.
4. Gather information on market segments, competitor activities, market pricing levels, competitor pricing and strategies.
5. Ensure an informed customer base.
6. Keep abreast of product knowledge and maintain professionalism.
7. Ensure actual sale is done.
8. Meet the agreed targets. Make regular customer calls, dealing with queries timeously and effectively.
9. Develop customers in accordance with company strategy to ensure customer loyalty and to maintain market share.

Minimum Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Driver’s license
3. Experience in sales in a hardware retail environment.
4. Must be willing to travel.

Skills Required

1. Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
