Job summary

A leading processed meat company in South Africa is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive sales volumes through customer engagement and relationship building. Candidates should have 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience, preferably in FMCG retail. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. A diploma in relevant fields is an advantage. Closing date for applications is 05 August 2025.

OPCO: Hartlief SA (Stikland Depot)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To positively influence sales volumes of Hartlief SA processed meat through consistent contact, networking and motivation with customers.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • At least 3 – 5 years’ sales/marketing experience.
  • Experience in retail FMCG sales will be an advantage.
  • Relevant diploma or certificate in marketing, promotions, sales, or business administration will be an advantage.
  • Must be Computer Literate (MS Office Packages)
  • Must have cold meat/perishable experience

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:

  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential new customers.
  • Give feedback to management by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly sales reports.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, etc.
  • Address customer complaints by investigating problems, identifying solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
