Key Performance Areas
Sales and Account Management: Achieve budget and profit targets by growing and servicing a portfolio of distributor, retail, chicken, and medium-to-large end-user accounts. Secure orders, oversee supply chain processes, and expand the customer base through proactive planning and daily/weekly schedules targeting existing and potential clients.
Pricing and Promotion: Develop pricing proposals aligned with company goals and leverage product literature to enhance brand visibility. Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations based on opportunity analysis.
Reporting and Market Insights: Keep management informed with weekly work plans, monthly/annual regional analyses, and competitive intelligence (pricing, products, delivery, merchandising trends).
Product Development: Collaborate on new product initiatives that support clients' strategic goals, recommending improvements based on market feedback and competitive trends.
Customer Retention: Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service delivery, resolving complaints through problem-solving and reporting, and providing historical sales data for accurate forecasting and business reviews with key clients.
Operational Support: Manage the debtors book, assist the finance team, ensure slow-moving/obsolete stock is cleared within 45 days, and support monthly/quarterly stock counts at consignment warehouses.
Professional Growth: Stay current with industry trends through trade publications, networking, and participation in professional societies, ensuring all sales presentation tools are readily available.
Team Contribution: Support national account activities and broader team efforts to drive business success.

Play a critical role in business growth, assisting with ad-hoc tasks as needed to support company initiatives.

Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development.
Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
Experience in the plastic industry is advantageous.
Valid driver's license (travel required).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work independently with strong time-management skills.
