Sales Rep (Chemical Safety Solutions) – Darling, Western Cape.

Are you a seasoned technical sales professional? Join a small, high-performing team that has been supplying life-saving chemical safety products to the mining industry for over 19 years.

Based in Darling, this hybrid role is ideal for a relationship-driven self-starter who is comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, conducting site surveys, and training clients directly on mine sites.

You’ll take over an existing Gauteng client base, with a strong focus on building new business nationally. Your first month will be spent in the office for onboarding and ISO/product training, followed by regular travel to client sites, primarily in Gauteng and occasionally Durban.

Salary: R25 000 – R30 000 per month (Based on experience).

Employment Type: Permanent.

Workplace: Hybrid (Two days per week in-office).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical sales experience.
  • Knowledge of chemical or industrial sectors advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willing and able to travel within South Africa for client visits and presentations.
  • Based near Darling or surrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – attention to detail and grammar are critical.
  • Self-managed, professional, and relationship-driven.
  • Comfortable conducting safety presentations, site surveys, and training clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads through research, outreach, and site visits.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations and chemical safety presentations.
  • Perform site surveys and risk assessments, and recommend solutions to manage chemical risks.
  • Ensure client compliance with ISO 13485 regulations.
  • Manage existing client relationships and repeat sales cycles
  • Provide regular training sessions for clients and ensure proper product use.
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication and record-keeping.
