Job description

TOMRA is a world leader in optical and electronic sorting equipment.

TOMRA Sorting Solutions is a dynamic company with an outstanding product line and high customer satisfaction. Why is it worthwhile to start and stay at TOMRA?

We are a steadily growing international company that has retained its family atmosphere.

Our corporate culture is Norwegian, emphasizing flat hierarchies and a non-hierarchical approach.

We see a bright future in economic terms.

It is also rewarding to know that our recycling machines help make the world cleaner. At TOMRA, we focus on maximizing resource value and utilization, contributing to the circular economy—a system designed to keep products, components, and materials at their highest value throughout their lifecycle within a closed loop. Technology advances are crucial in achieving this, helping to maximize resource value and reduce waste.

OUR ROLE

TOMRA's sensor-based solutions are key in optimizing resource productivity, especially in waste management and recycling, where they increase precision and streamline processes. Our reverse vending and waste sorting solutions recover materials, provide insights into material composition, and help identify efficiencies to minimize costs and waste. This approach further reduces CO2 emissions and inefficiencies.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Global Sales Director, you will support the global sales team and the Global Order Office in developing, planning, and executing TOMRA sensor-based sorter projects in the mining industry. A key aspect of this role is providing technical support and calculating project parameters such as capacities, OPEX, and flowsheet implementation.

The role involves liaising with vendors, contractors, consultants, the internal sales team, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage RFQ/tender processes for large projects, from proposal generation to answering technical questions and order confirmation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers for interface clearance.
  • Assist the sales department with flowsheet design and integration suggestions.
  • Simulate flow diagrams and assist with OPEX calculations.
  • Develop and grow strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify and coordinate product improvements with the technical division.
  • Ensure effective internal processes and structures.
  • Collaborate with functions within Tomra Mining and Sorting, including Global Service, Application, and Project Management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in mining, mineral processing, or a relevant engineering field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the sorting or mining industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Decisive and result-driven, with a passion for technology and customer focus.
  • Outstanding planning and execution skills.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Analytical approach.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
