The Role

Are you passionate about empowering African creatives? Creative Nestlings Foundation is seeking a driven Sales & Partnerships Lead to spearhead resource development and cultivate strategic alliances. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the growth of Africa's creative and cultural industries.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Managing Director to refine and execute a fundraising and partnership development strategy.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders, sponsors, and partners, including brands, corporations, government agencies, investors, and endowment funds.
  3. Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and materials to communicate the foundation's value and goals.
  4. Manage relationships with existing and prospective partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and collaboration opportunities.
  5. Negotiate and secure funding agreements, sponsorships, and partnerships aligned with organizational objectives.
  6. Work with the programs team to develop funding proposals supporting various initiatives like talks, workshops, books, incubators, and spaces.
  7. Represent the foundation at industry events to expand visibility and networks.
  8. Track and report fundraising progress regularly to leadership and the board.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 5+ years in fundraising, sales, business development, or strategic partnerships within sectors like advertising, arts, culture, or non-profit in Africa.
  3. Proven success in securing diverse funding sources.
  4. Strong understanding of the African creative landscape and passion for supporting emerging talent.
  5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  6. Strategic thinking and creative funding approach skills.
  7. Familiarity with CRM and digital outreach tools.
  8. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Existing relevant industry contacts are highly desirable.
  10. Passion for the foundation’s mission and values.
Additional Details

This is a remote-first, part-time, commission-only role, with potential to evolve into a salaried position with bonuses based on revenue growth. Specifics will be discussed with qualified candidates.
