Our client, an ISP specializing in providing INTERNET, VOICE, and HOSTING solutions, is seeking a permanent Sales Operations Lead based in Umhlanga, Durban.
Job Description
The Sales Operations Lead is responsible for managing the entire sales lifecycle of the business, including prospecting, qualifying new sales opportunities, growing the customer base, and presenting face-to-face and online demonstrations. The role involves proposing and closing managed service contracts, as well as selling services and products offered by the company.
The primary goal is to ensure that the Sales Team achieves the financial revenue targets and customer retention objectives by implementing the sales strategies and requirements provided by the sales directors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of Information Technology industry products, services, licensing, and technologies.
- Understanding of commercial sales terms such as margin, gross profit, revenue, turnover, net profit, and discounting.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of the sales lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of customer sales dynamics and requirements.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and processes.
- Proven success in developing client relationships.
- Enjoyment in working with customers and external audiences.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Understanding of Internet Access Services and VoIP Telephony.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
- Understanding of the sales process and analysis.
- Previous team leadership experience.
- Qualification in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of sales and organizational experience, preferably within the IT or ISP industry.
