Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will focus on extrusion & milling, bakery, and FHT sectors. Responsibilities include planning and executing direct marketing and sales activities within budget, achieving sales targets, and focusing on regional growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships through planned visits and liaising with internal teams.
- Increase market penetration via face-to-face meetings and interactions, maintaining customer databases and recording activities on CRM platforms.
- Conduct market research on competitors and market surveys.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial contact to post-project service agreements.
- Respond to sales inquiries and follow up via telephone, email, and personal visits.
- Report activities and provide management with relevant information.
- Collaborate with other departments and attend training for skill development.
- Coordinate with logistics for ordering, transportation, delivery, and installation of equipment.
- Build a network of contacts for resource advice inside and outside the organization.
- Maintain confidence when handling negative situations and develop creative solutions.
- Develop ideas and offers for sales and marketing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Technical or marketing tertiary qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles, with significant front sales experience in a technical environment.
- Deep knowledge of the complete sales process within a multinational, including ordering, pricing, and CRM.
- Proven skills in international negotiation and contracting across multiple countries.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management.
- Experience in the Food and Healthcare industries is advantageous.
- Broad international business understanding with a focus on customer needs and fulfillment.
- Open-minded, solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, customer orientation, and ability to engage at various levels.
- Deep understanding of global compliance regulations.
