We're on the lookout for a dynamic Key Account / Sales and Marketing Support Executive to service our clients and contribute towards the company's overall objectives.
If you have a travel / airline background in both sales and marketing with a keen interest to expand your career, then this role is your ticket to success! Based at our Design Quarter commercial office (Sandton), you will be working with a small, close-knit and hands-on team, where your primary responsibility will be to support all sales & marketing initiatives and develop annual strategic objectives.
Specific tasks are varied including sales, pricing & benchmarking, marketing, PR, social media, events, CRM development, BSP, and data analysis. Meeting monthly deadlines and sales objectives will be key.

Responsibilities
- Support and strategic expansion of the existing customer base in both field sales and internal support.
- Fully knowledgeable of the various airline or tourism products.
- Support, creation, and implementation of the marketing, PR, and budget plans.
- Administrative support.
- Organise and coordinate client events.
- Benchmark of competitors and close coordination with client HQ management.
- Product training to Travel Trade and hosting fam trips.
- Achieve internal and external sales targets.
- Create and maintain database using in-house CRM tool.
- Developing sales and marketing campaigns and strategies for each channel.
- Market intelligence surveys, data analysis, and development of potential opportunities.
- Regular sales & market analysis and reporting.
- Client reporting and communication.
- Participation in fairs, events, workshops.
About You
- Understanding the travel and aviation industry and the mechanics of the South African trade.
- A go-getter attitude with a passion for contributing to the success of the company.
- Technical understanding of airline sales, operations, reservations, BSP, and BI tools.
- Basic knowledge in Amadeus & Sabre an advantage.
- Procedural understanding of the various channels of distributions used in the marketplace.
- Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Vibrant sales personality with a passion for the airline and tourism industries.
- Must be independent, structured, and goal-oriented.
- Own reliable transportation and clean driver's license is mandatory.
Key Skills
- Diploma in travel and tourism, economics, communication, marketing, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in airline and tourism sales.
- Good knowledge and connections with the South African travel trade, including leisure and corporate channels, travel trends, and consumer behaviour.
- Strong sales orientation in the airline and tourism sector.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory.
- Other European languages an advantage.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience with travel distribution tools such as GDS and other systems (e.g., MIDT, e-Smash) will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs.
- Knowledge of GDS a key advantage (Amadeus / Sabre).
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Availability for occasional travel (domestic and international).
