  • Relevant industry certifications, such as BASOS and AVCASA. If not, these certifications must be obtained within one year.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years’ proven experience in sales and marketing - preferably within the agricultural sector.
  • An aptitude or passion for agriculture and more specific agronomy, horticulture and/or soil science and plant physiology.
  • Have a creative mindset.
  • A solid track record of leading and developing high-performing sales teams, with measurable success in achieving growth targets.
  • Strong analytical thinking, negotiation expertise, and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Afrikaans and English, to engage effectively across client and stakeholder groups.
  • Willingness to regular travel nationally to support the sales team and engage with clients
  • A practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to shift seamlessly between strategic planning and operational execution.
  • A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to engage meaningfully with both subordinates, the senior leadership team and the executive.
  • A valid drivers licence.
