This role is a regional sales management position responsible for managing a team of new and vested Financial Advisors. You will recruit advisors (both new and experienced), and be responsible for their training, vesting, and development.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement sales plans, targets, and growth strategies
  • Support marketing and business development efforts
  • Coach and develop Financial Advisors
  • Manage business retention processes
  • Ensure compliance and risk management
  • Enable practice management
  • Oversee quality and productivity management
  • Provide effective people and performance management
  • Manage team budgets and expenses
  • Recruit new and experienced Financial Intermediaries
What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the Financial Services industry in sales/marketing
  • Leadership experience in sales and operational management
  • Management diploma
  • Financial, business, or related degree/diploma
  • CFP/RFP3 or equivalent (120 credits)
  • Registered as an RE (Regulatory Examination)
Knowledge and Skills:

To be successful, you should demonstrate experience in:

  • Financial services industry knowledge
  • Financial products (Sanlam and competitors)
  • Legal and technical product knowledge
  • Regulatory legislation and compliance (FAIS accredited)
  • Business planning and process management
  • Advisor contracts and remuneration
  • Sales and marketing practices
  • Leads management and campaigns
  • Staff management skills
  • Budgeting and expense management

Personal Qualities:

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and client relationships.
