Sales Manager - Premium Furniture (JB)

Location: Remote for applicants based in Johannesburg or Cape Town

Salary: R90,000 - R per month, negotiable

Employment Type: Permanent (Hired via Employer of Record)

Workplace: Fully remote role, with travel as required

A globally recognised premium furniture brand is entering the South African market, and they're looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to lead local business development efforts.

This rare opportunity places you at the forefront of market expansion, introducing a world-class product line to South African distributors and retailers.

As the company's first hire in South Africa, you will play a key role in customer acquisition, brand positioning, and long-term growth, backed by international support and strong prospects for future team expansion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior sales role within the furniture or home décor industry.
  • A strong network of furniture retailers and distributors in South Africa.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development experience.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working remotely.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally for training and trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new retail and wholesale clients across South Africa through direct outreach and networking.
  • Promote the brand and full product range to local and regional distributors.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to after-sales support.
  • Negotiate trade terms and ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
