Job Summary

Emerson is seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager for our Isolation Valves business unit in South Africa.

The Sales Manager will develop, support, and implement growth strategies to meet or exceed booking targets in the Southeast Africa (SEA) region for non-mining sectors. The role involves identifying opportunities in project business, competitive displacement, and specific industry applications.

Successful execution requires engaging effectively with customers, the local sales team, and representative organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead ISV Business Unit for solutions, products, and MRO business development and sales initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed financial objectives, including budgets and forecasts, supporting the ISV MEA business plan.
  • Manage and support sales teams and regional representatives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve above-market growth.
  • Drive growth in MRO business and revenue from existing installed base.
  • Prepare marketing forecasts, competitor intelligence, and marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with other Business Units to enhance product pull-through.
  • Define strategies for winning projects and support pursuit activities to grow the installed base.
  • Build long-term relationships with customer management to promote Isolation Valves.
  • Develop site plans to enhance MRO potential and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on product, industry, and market developments.
  • Manage sales opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Ensure compliance with Emerson ethics and trade procedures.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
  • At least 10 years of sales experience in the valve industry, with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Optional: MBA, proven sales achievement, experience in mining, and CRM proficiency.
