Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our client's team in the Durban and Umhlanga area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to take charge of the regional sales strategy and operational activities, driving merchandise sales and supporting our showrooms and sales consultants.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement monthly and weekly sales plans with clear targets for the region.
• Manage and meet sales targets while supporting the showrooms and maintaining high operational standards through the Showroom Manager.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to deliver top-notch customer satisfaction.
• Ensure staff motivation, performance, and development through effective people management.
• Oversee stock management to ensure availability and accuracy.
• Support payment collection processes and manage costs in line with the approved budget.

Minimum Requirements :

• A National Senior Certificate is essential.
• Tertiary qualification in Sales / Marketing or a related field.
• Previous exposure to interior design / decorating is advantageous.
• At least 8 years of sales experience in a wholesale or retail environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of people management experience .
• A driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
• A customer service-oriented approach with entrepreneurial thinking.
• Strong business development and problem-solving skills.
• General business acumen and self-motivation are key to success.

This role is 20% office-based and 80% on the road , allowing you to stay engaged with clients and ensure regional success.
