Job description

To recruit, maintain, and develop sales representatives and brokers, and to set targets.

Develop and maintain sales and marketing plan

  1. Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan
  2. Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan and submit to management
  3. Review and update strategic plan regularly
  4. Compile reports on progress made on the strategic plan
  5. Communicate the strategic plan to sales representatives

Perform recruitment and selection processes for sales representatives

  1. Advertise and market representative positions through presentations
  2. Select applicants in accordance with FSCA requirements and implement assessment and selection battery

Conduct training for sales representatives

  1. Facilitate pre-course and post-course training
  2. Conduct on-the-job assessments of representatives

Conduct coaching processes

  1. Provide technical support and motivation to representatives
  2. Coach representatives to improve their selling skills
  3. Recognize performance through the performance management system

Conduct training for brokers

  1. Ensure brokers are equipped with sufficient documentation, e.g., application forms
  2. Handle administrative queries on behalf of brokers
  3. Check business methods of brokers and advise accordingly
  4. Update brokers regularly on products and services
  5. Ensure brokers' computer software is up to date regarding products and services
  6. Build professional relationships with brokers

Identify and develop new and current markets

  1. Identify, penetrate, and develop new markets
  2. Maintain contact with key decision-makers and industry resources
  3. Retain and increase market share
  4. Manage business retention
  5. Conduct product presentations in the market

Maintain production targets and retain business

  1. Ensure and monitor achievement of set production targets
  2. Maintain business retention

Comply with FAIS requirements

  1. Supervise representatives when rendering services under supervision
  2. Submit supervision evidence to MSSI monthly
  3. Mentor and train supervisees to ensure proper understanding of products
  4. Observe meetings between representatives and clients

Compliance

  1. Handle complaints
  2. Track number of complaints received
  3. Track complaints referred for investigation (forensic)
  4. Track complaints referred for debarment hearings based on debarment committee outcomes

Training and awareness

  1. Refresher training
  2. New product training
  3. Record of Advice
  4. Completion of application forms

Other

  1. Adhere to the code of conduct
