Main Purpose
- Recruit, maintain, and develop sales representatives and brokers; set targets.
Develop and maintain sales and marketing plan
- Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan.
- Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan; submit to management.
- Review and update strategic plan regularly.
- Compile reports on progress of strategic plan.
- Communicate strategic plan to sales representatives.
Perform recruitment and selection for sales representatives
- Advertise and market representative positions through presentations.
- Select applicants per FSCA requirements; implement assessment selection battery.
Conduct training for sales representatives
- Facilitate pre-course and post-course training.
- Assess representatives on the job.
Conduct coaching processes
- Provide technical support and motivation.
- Coach on selling skills improvement.
- Recognize performance via management system.
Conduct training for brokers
- Ensure brokers have necessary documentation.
- Handle admin queries for brokers.
- Review and advise on business methods.
- Update brokers on products/services.
- Ensure brokers' software is up-to-date.
- Build professional relationships with brokers.
Identify and develop markets
- Identify, penetrate, and develop new markets.
- Negotiate stop order markets.
- Maintain contacts with decision-makers and industry resources.
- Retain and grow market share.
- Manage business retention.
- Present products in the market.
Maintain production targets and business retention
- Monitor and achieve set targets.
- Maintain existing business.
Ensure compliance with FAIS and other regulations
- Supervise representatives rendering services.
- Submit supervision evidence monthly.
- Mentor and train supervisees.
- Observe client meetings.
Handle compliance and complaints
- Manage complaints, investigations, and debarment processes.
Training and awareness initiatives
- Conduct refresher and new product training.
- Maintain records of advice and financial needs analysis.
- Complete application forms accurately.
Other responsibilities
- Adhere to code of conduct, TCF, risk, and audit requirements.

- Lead and support your team to achieve targets.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Matric and relevant FSCA-recognized qualification.
Certifications
- Regulatory Examination Level 5: Representatives.
- Regulatory Examination Level 1: Key Individuals.
- Class of Business (Long Term Insurance and Investments).
Experience
- 1-year management and oversight experience.
- 2 years project management and insurance industry experience.
- At least 1-year advice and intermediary experience.
- Experience in sales, retail, or business development.
