Job description

Our client designs, creates, and manufactures their own unique range of notebooks, journals, and diaries under their exclusive brand. They produce premium products for their corporate and retail clients. We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to achieve their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.

The ideal candidate must have sold a product or service to corporate companies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the corporate gifting industry and retail sector.

Responsibilities

  • Building and leading a team of salespeople to help drive revenue.
  • Own recruiting objectives, setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Own several aspects of goal setting and should be capable of training, motivating, and monitoring sales teams to meet those goals.
  • Design and implement a strategic sales business plan and processes.
  • Expand the company's customer base.
  • Forecast sales and create reports.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of CRM and KPI systems.
  • Write training manuals or other reference documents for sales teams.
  • Set weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals.
  • Track detailed sales reports.
  • Drive sales initiatives.
  • Make customer experience your top priority.
  • Create sales budgets.
  • Manage and build sales pipelines.

Requirements

  • The Sales Manager should have been a Sales Representative first and must have excelled in that role. A strong track record in sales, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of customer psychology and the sales process.
  • Process-driven, metrics-driven, organized, and relentless.
  • Excellent technology and digital skill set.
  • Qualification in sales, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Industry expertise is an advantage.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent marketing skills, with digital marketing skills being essential.
  • Thorough understanding of the sales lead generation process.
  • Skills in new business development and negotiation.
  • Ability to oversee sales support staff and sales admin processes.
  • Basic salary: R35,000 - R40,000 per month.
  • Lucrative commission earnings structure.
  • Quarterly bonus incentives.
