Job Title: Sales Manager - Cornerstone (Pietermaritzburg)

Location: KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg  |  Deadline: August 29, 2025

Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for recruiting, maintaining, and developing sales representatives within Cornerstone regions. The role involves planning and implementing regional sales strategies, managing budgets, and fostering customer and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sales plans to meet targets.
  2. Communicate sales strategies to teams and set individual roles.
  3. Recruit staff according to HR plans and oversee infrastructure needs.
  4. Participate in provincial budgeting and ensure policy compliance.
  5. Manage sales staff performance and review progress monthly.
  6. Prepare management reports.
  7. Monitor expenses and manage petty cash requisitions.
  8. Build and maintain customer and stakeholder relations, addressing queries and concerns.
  9. Conduct stakeholder analysis and understand market dynamics.
  10. Manage regional office operations, including recruitment, training, and performance management of sales staff.
  11. Oversee administrative activities and liaise with provincial administration for training and support.
  12. Assist with client services and ensure the regional offices project the desired company image.
Requirements
Formal Education
  • Matric
  • Relevant qualification recognized by the FSCA
Technical / Legal Certification
  • Regulatory Examination Level 5 (Representatives) - advantageous
  • Regulatory Examination Level 1 (Key Individuals) - advantageous
  • 30 or 60 credits on NQF level 2 or 60 or 120 credits on NQF level 5, depending on industry experience
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year relevant management experience
  • At least 6 months in the insurance industry
  • 6 months advice and intermediary experience in category A (Assistance business)
