To recruit, maintain, develop sales representatives and set targets within Cornerstone Regions.

1. Plan and Implement Sales Plan at Regional Level

  1. Develop sales plan to attain set goals/targets.
  2. Communicate the sales plan to sales teams.
  3. Identify & agree on individual roles and responsibilities.
  4. Recruit resources according to HR Plan.
  5. Plan for infrastructure requirements – vehicles, offices, furniture, policy books, etc.
  6. Participate in Provincial budgeting process.
  7. Evaluate progress against goals monthly.
  8. Prepare monthly management report.

2. Expense Budget

  1. Monitor expenses against budget.
  2. Track deviation, investigate reasons & recommend corrective action.
  3. Assist with management of monitoring petty-cash requisitions.
  4. Prepare management report on deviations.

3. Develop & Sustain Customer & Stakeholder Relations

  1. Understand impact of stakeholder policies on regional business.
  2. Deploy the correct interactions and processes.

4. Communication Management

  1. Stakeholder analysis (who’s who?).
  2. Knowledge of different markets.
  3. Company themes/message.

5. Manage Regional Office, Administration & Client Services

  1. Visits to districts/sites.
  2. Ensure that branch offices project the required image of Cornerstone.
  3. Oversee the regional administrative activities.
  4. Liaise with provincial administration on training needs & support.
  5. Assist with client services and oversee sales staff & offices.

Job Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION

  1. Matric.
  2. Relevant Qualification (recognised by the FSCA).
  3. TECHNICAL / LEGAL CERTIFICATION
  4. Regulatory Examination Level 5: Representatives as an advantage.
  5. Regulatory Examination Level 1: Key Individuals as an advantage.
  6. 30 or 60 credits on NQF level 2 (Depending on the date of appointment in the industry) or.
  7. 60 or 120 credits on NQF level 5 (Depending on the date of appointment in the industry).

EXPERIENCE

  1. 6 months Insurance industry.
  2. At least 6 months advice and intermediary experience in category A (Assistance business).
