Your Purpose...- To make exercise irresistible
- To, on a monthly basis, deliver club sales results in line with, or exceeding, budget.
- To create and maintain a high-performing sales team to achieve our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. This role will be responsible for maximizing our sales potential through coaching and adjusting sales plans as needed to ensure the desired results are achieved.
Your Duties and Responsibilities...- Achieve growth and consistently meet sales targets by successfully leading the sales team.
- Achieve sales objectives by making recommendations to sales plans, preparing, and completing action plans, and coaching the team for successful delivery.
- Implement customer-service standards; resolve queries; complete audits; identify trends; and implement changes as needed.
- Maintain and develop a high-performance sales team focused on accomplishing sales objectives through leadership, development, coaching, mentoring, communication of expectations, planning, monitoring, and reviewing contributions, developing and reviewing compensation actions, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative and all management functions in line with daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines.
- Perform manager on duty (MOD) duties (Fitness and Fitness Plus only, other club types as required).
- Selling memberships to achieve the set monthly budget and sales goals.
- Complete all administrative procedures required by the company.
- Proactively identify opportunities and market Virgin Active memberships to the surrounding community and/or corporate organizations.
- Actively follow up on leads provided in club and surrounding areas.
- Maintain the sprint backlogs with the Scrum teams.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
Our Minimum Requirements...We can't live without...
- Matric Certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
- At least 2 years’ experience within a sales management role, i.e., managing a sales team.
- At least 4 years’ previous experience within the sales environment (similar industry preferable)/sales consultant role
- Proven successful track record in a solution sale environment.
- Highly numerate, financially astute, and able to understand budgeting processes.
- Proven knowledge of Financial reports, e.g., P&L
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to negotiate and close deals under pressure.
- Successfully completed Pro-active Sales Manager training (Internal Candidates).
